"A good meal is like a present, and it can feel goofy, at best, to give yourself a present. On the other hand, there is something life affirming in taking the trouble to feed yourself well, or even decently. Cooking for yourself allows you to be strange or decadent or both. The chances of you liking what you made are high, but if it winds up being disgusting, you can always throw it away and order a pizza; no one will ever know." (Jenni Ferrari-Adler)

Back to the kitchen

Hello everyone and thanks for continually checking my kitchen for updates during the past month of absolute silence.   I have completely given in  to laziness this past month and have not cooked much or updated this blog.

So many things went on this past month, some good, some bad.... However it is time for a comeback! I do miss my kitchen, I miss my food, miss photographing the plates and playing with food presentation. It makes me happy to eat food beautifully placed in my plate.  Hey, I'm spoiled like that, I know.

I have also lost my beloved "Food Critic" to foreign lands and am at this point searching for someone to feed. Perhaps this sounds like an easy task. Well, not in Los Angeles where commuting to work is like a part-time job, the kind of part-time you don't get paid for.

So seat back and relax, grab a cup of coffee and lets embark in this  journey together .... because life is too short for bad sex, bad food and bad wine.
