"A good meal is like a present, and it can feel goofy, at best, to give yourself a present. On the other hand, there is something life affirming in taking the trouble to feed yourself well, or even decently. Cooking for yourself allows you to be strange or decadent or both. The chances of you liking what you made are high, but if it winds up being disgusting, you can always throw it away and order a pizza; no one will ever know." (Jenni Ferrari-Adler)

HAPPY WORLD PASTA DAY!

HAPPY WORLD PASTA DAY EVERYONE!

Here is some useless trivia:

1. October 25th is the Official World Pasta Day and all around the world there are events and conferences being organized in honor of this western favorite.
2. Did you know the first noodle-like foods originated in China about 4,000 years ago? Yes China, not Italy. 3. The first noodles were made out of rice flour not wheat.

And now whether you choose to celebrate this day the Italian or the Asian way it does not matter as long as you celebrate it in style.

Here are some suggestions :)

Pumpkin Ravioli in a truffle-sage butter sauce

Tagliatelle Carbonara dela Nona
