"A good meal is like a present, and it can feel goofy, at best, to give yourself a present. On the other hand, there is something life affirming in taking the trouble to feed yourself well, or even decently. Cooking for yourself allows you to be strange or decadent or both. The chances of you liking what you made are high, but if it winds up being disgusting, you can always throw it away and order a pizza; no one will ever know." (Jenni Ferrari-Adler)

Status update

Recovering from a cold and from holiday food coma....
unfortunately there was no much time to update the blog during this past week as for i was on Nyquill from monday thru thursday, and then friday and Saturday, only taking a break from wednesday night thru friday so i could function and prepare my extensive menu without zoning out every 30 min.....

Anyway, thanksgiving line up suffered a couple changes, i'll be discussing that as soon as i get the pictures from my sister (had no time to photograph anything either).

In addition to thanksgiving's meal T and J had a little family  sunday brunch to close out the thanksgiving celebrations.... we prepared eggs benedict and eggs florentine i was encharged of the hollandaise sauce, it came out outstanding, will check if i can get my hands on those pics as well or else.... we'll just have to eat them again one of these sundays.

The wine selections was UNFUCKING REAL.... so happy!  I gave my self a high-five, and performed the happy dance in the kitchen LOL. As a result i'll probably be encharged of the wine selection for all future family functions, YEY.

No black friday shopping for me, thou black friday insisted to come to across the street from my apartment,  some girl setup shop in the intersection and guess what..... i cannot let go of a good deal and this one was just fabulastik...... Queen size1500 thread count egyptian cotton sheet set for $35  bucks, bought 2. These sheets normaly go for 300-600 bucks at Macy's.

And what do you do when all you do for an entire week is  eat, cook and sleep? thats right,, you cook some more....Red Onion and Zucchini Jam, wooohoooo, very very good! Brought them to work today to get feedback from my  coworkers so here is the picture.... sorry the resolution sucks... i love my "Tironossaur BBcurve-x " its needs to be put to rest soon.
left to right: Tomato (by my mom), zucchini and red onion
Trying to catch my breath as i type this post and inhale lunch at my desk :)
